Jugendkulturfestival Basel

The JKF is a two-day snapshot of regional youth culture and its impressive diversity and quality. The festival promotes the initiative and self-confidence of young artists. Young people are given confidence, freedom and resources to show themselves – in many cases for the first time – to a broad public. In the middle of Basel’s city center, young people take a space for themselves for two days in a public-spirited way and, with their creative output and commitment, set a positive sign for a group that often has to struggle with negative prejudices.
