Mollusca stands for pop rock that drives forward: powerful, modern and with hooks that burn themselves into your ear channels. The up-and-coming band from Baden, Switzerland, combine the energy of the great rock bands of the early 2000s with a modern, raw touch that gets straight under your skin. This mixture detonates live. Supported by a rhythm section that sounds as if they’ve been welded together, Rahel Müller (vox, git), Luca Imholz (git) and Cedric von Rauscher (keys) hit the gas pedal from the very first second and show pure passion that sweeps the audience away. One thing is certain: Mollusca have not skimped on self-confidence.
Mollusca’s story begins in 2021 with their debut EP “Tides”. Through several formation changes, the core of the band moved away from the original restrained indie pop to a hook-heavy pop-rock sound with plenty of confidence.
Mollusca is now in the fast lane. In summer 23, Mollusca played the main stage at Badenfahrt on Saturday evening, and a few months later won the bandXnordwest contest. This was followed by the single “Just Friends”, which officially launched the band’s new era. From then on, Mollusca 2024 opened for Baba Shrimps and performed at various festivals, for example on the main stage of the Sichtfeld OpenAir and at Pärklijam in Basel
